Day to day responsibilities
- • Liaising telephonically with direct clients and agencies (as allocated)
- • Setting up and having at least 6 face-to-face meetings per week with clients and media planners to present both your products and New Media Publishing.
- • Managing and growing the revenue from your data base of clients.
- • Achieving revenue target every month on six Multichoice magazines
- • Weekly status reports by Friday midday, to the Business Manager, detailing revenue generated that week, previous weeks client activity and possible advertising as well as outlining the up-coming weeks schedule.
- • Liaising with traffic regarding advertising sales with the correct net revenues.
- • Sending the relevant internal booking forms, where above-the-line advertising is booked.
- • Sending New Media Publishing order forms for client signature where advertorials are booked. In the instance of a client doing business with New Media Publishing for the first time, credit application forms must be sent to client, completed and returned to head office to open an account.
- • Capture all bookings on CRM and filing of all necessary documentation both internal and regarding your client patch for easy reference.
- • Chasing CI's and ensuring all clients are aware of material deadlines, and where necessary, ensuring material is delivered to New Media Publishing timeously.
- • Feedback in internal sales meetings on industry intelligence and your business patch.
- • Analysis and in depth knowledge of competitor products
- • Comprehensive and thorough leads chasing of adverts / advertorials in competitor brands
- • Liaising with your team members in CT / JHB to maintain information flow on your product, the company and the industry
- • Accurate forecasting on your business patch that is being worked on.
- • Weekly feedback for project meetings
- • Attending a post-mortem analysis when necessary.
- • Attending and participating in departmental sales meetings
- • Ensuring that all internal administration is fully up to date and accurate (expenses, etc)
- • Attending functions on behalf of NMP
- • You are responsible for putting together (alongside marketing, Business Manager) the presentation of your titles sales story
- • Assess and respond to changes in the ABC/ AMPS or other industry research as it affects the title
- • Write and revise where necessary the titles sales information
- • Initiate ideas for new research and sales tools to be discussed with marketing and agreed with the Business Manager.
Duties pertaining to advertorials include:
- • Working with creative advertorial themes and coming up with ideas and proposals for clients;
- • Briefing Production Team on concept for photography and copy;
- • Chasing layouts;
- • Final approval on page layouts from clients.
After sales service includes:
- • Ensuring all information generated for sales is available at the office in the event of your absence or leaving.
- • Sending voucher copies to clients and potential advertisers;
- • Maintaining good relationships with all clients and agencies through service, product and industry information and relevant, targeted entertainment.
