Print publishing
Home to some of South Africa’s top print-media professionals, New Media has built its reputation on producing beautiful publications, from monthly magazines to once-off brochures. We have won more awards over the past 12 years than any other publishing house in the country – and that makes us very proud.

Corporate communications
It’s not only about talking to customers– we’re good at communicating within companies too. Food-content production
We love eating and cooking. And drinking. Which is probably why we’ve become experts at producing food content and styling in Eat Out, Eat In, food styling for AOL and Woolworths Taste magazines, plus videos, websites and foodie apps. We’re hooked into the local chef-restaurant-foodie networks, and we can share that with your customers.

Advertising sales
Our highly driven sales team – one of few in South Africa to have exceeded targets during the recession – specialises in sourcing brand-appropriate ads, whatever the medium. The revenue they generate can help offset your costs.

In-house repro
Our team sets the highest standards in terms of image resolution, colour and clarity. They specialise in retouching, deep-etching, high-resolution scanning, colour balancing and colour proofs, plus they handle the entire production process.

Photography
New Media has its own in-house Photographic Studio with two full-time photographers on hand to shoot for every medium at highly competitive rates.

Events
Here’s where media consumers – your customers – become content-makers. To date we have co-ordinated parenting, décor and fashion workshops for clients nationally; the annual Eat Out and SA Fresh Produce Awards; golf days; tailor-made team-building getaways; formidable year-end functions and launch parties for new publications.

Siyasiza, FNB’s internal-communications magazine, is, distributed to the company’s more than 30 000 employees, as well as about 3 000 FNB pensioners.
Plascon Spaces is sold at nearly 3 000 stores – including major bookstores, selected Builders Warehouse stores and other Plascon stockists – throughout the country. It is also available at Decorex Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban. It costs R14,95.
In 2010, HIP2B2 magazine became one of South Africa’s – and the world’s – only fully open-source magazines. The brand is committed to the belief that knowledge is free, and with this in mind, learners and teachers are able to download everything in the magazine (articles and images), and then use, share and modify it all for lesson plans, school projects, etc – as long as it’s for non-commercial use and the source is credited.

HIP2B2 is distributed to around 1 000 South African schools.

Mark Shuttleworth is a highly successful entrepreneur, and was the first African in space.
